Coming Clean by Ihni

Months after Starcourt, Billy is struggling to keep it together. Trying to balance recovery with his job, while covering for Susan as she's descending deeper into her alcoholism, he is nearing his breaking point. When he unexpectedly crosses paths with Steve Harrington, Billy thinks it's just another obstacle for him to overcome - but it might just be what he needs to start to heal.

It’s been so wonderful to work with @ihni on this collab for the @billybigbang 2025 event. I had a hard time picking only one moment of Ihni’s fic because their fic is just amazing and heartfelt. This was my first time doing a collab and an event and tbh guys I couldn’t find a better person to have worked with, so thank you Ihni.

First piece for the January @fanartfrenzy event, not sure if I’ll be able to clear my card but I’ll try my best (: I’ve checked off my first square, making art with ink!

This was inspired by lilies_in_a_vase’s fic by the name Patron Saint of Travellers on AO3. It’s a little under 1,500 words but is full of emotion so definitely give it a read if you like angst.

Inspired by @ghostlynimbus’s one-shot on AO3, A Merry Christmas. It’s a nice angsty holiday read with a frustrated Billy who just wanted to give Steve a magical Christmas T^T but don’t worry guys it’s got a happy ending ok (:

This piece is also for the @fanartfrenzy mini challenge: Make any kind of art of a fic related to winter, the holiday season, or New Year’s Eve.

I had a great time working on this and I think my favorite part is the background. It was what I needed after trying to get all the angles right on the cars lol
