Final thoughts on Remember
I’ve finished watching the last episode and I thought about sharing my thoughts on that drama.
Let’s start with the beginning. After two first episodes I left the drama in the dark corner for three weeks. I couldn’t tell myself to watch it further but then on New Year’s Eve I watched all the episodes. I was very happy that finally those flashbacks ended. I dont’t really have anything to say about plot, maybe just one thing that I didn’t expect love story so I’m glad it turned out this way. I’ll focus now on a few characters.
To be honest, Jin Woo was my least favourite character when it comes to leads. Even though the story was strictly connected to him sometimes I felt like watching a drama with the male lead missing. I had a feeling that Jin Woo stood in the same spot for the entire drama. Maybe I’m wrong but that’s my opinion. I know it’s all dramaland but I found Jin Woo driving a super new car and being the lawyer at the age of 22 (Okay, hyperthymesia) kind of weird and unrealistic. Still, I’m glad that at the end Jin Woo changed his mind when it comes to Dong Ho.
I really enjoyed Nam Gyu Man character. Even though he was the bad one. I often like evil characters to some point. Sometimes I can even understand why they did particular thing. But not this time. Gyu Man deserved a severe court verdict for what he did to all people around. Anyway I felt sorry for him when Soo Bum told him to think who really was on his side and then when his father sad to him that he was not his child anymore. I think Nam Goong Min did a great job.
The next character which I liked was earlier names Soo Bum. I know that someone can say he was only Gyu Man’s secretary to clean after him but there was something that drew my attention to him. I liked the fact that he said ‘stop’ to Gyu Man. He said that Gyu Man could kill him and Soo Bum for sure was afraid but still he said 'stop’.
To sum this shortly up drama had it’s better and worse moments. There are two things that bothered me. This a few episodes long flashback and all the short flashbacks of talks, memories etc. that brought nothing new to the plot, especially when those were showed in the same episode as the real talk/situation happened. Oh, and I should say I liked how Park Dong Ho was dressed.
