It wasn’t that Ren didn’t have business experience, not when she’d grown up with two CEOs as parents. She knew what kind of business space she needed, what sort of vendors to work with, how to appeal to a customer base. What she was still very new to was figuring out how to pull it off alone. Or maybe she was just cranky because she’d ended up working with a completely incompetent real estate agent who clearly didn’t know the definition of the word “acoustics” so anytime Ren mentioned them she was just met with a blank stare. There were probably better people who could be helping her find a place to open a music store. A rock, perhaps, would be better suited.
Cranky would be a good word to describe her current mood. Her leg was killing her from trekking all over town, and while she’d seen some promising stuff today, she really needed to just put it to rest for the day. She bid the agent goodbye and let out a long awaiting sigh of relief. Even though she was finding Soapberry Springs relaxing in a way she’d known she’d needed but wasn’t sure she’d find. That didn’t stop her from being annoyed by the same things as usual though, and incompetence was definitely high up on that particular list.
Spotting a bench after walking a little further, Ren headed toward it. She wasn’t really the “sit beside a stranger on a bench” type, but her leg was killing her. There was plenty of space, but she still felt the need to be polite, flashing the stranger a smile. “Do you mind if I sit?”
