I don't feel like watching the sc finale... This is their last chance to fix the things they didn't do very well this season and I don't think that they're gonna do that. And I know that it's kinda entitled of me to expect the show to be exactly the way I want it to be, but I feel as if they've really missed the mark with some character arcs, like Stevie's.

i feel the same way but i did really enjoy last week’s episode so i’m looking forward to the finale and i think even though some storylines didn’t go the way we wanted them to it’ll be fun to see how it all ends. and i’m really happy with david and patrick’s story so i’m really holding onto that

i just realized what this season of sc reminds me of. the last season of the office. things were weird and jim and pam were on the verge of divorce and everything was changing and people were leaving and it felt really off and that is the exact feeling i’m having with the last season of sc. things feel off

It would have been a nice nod to the season 5 finale if moira told her old tv co stars about Stevie and like u said got her a role on sunrise bay or some other show. She praised Stevie’s talent and everything during Cabaret it would not be out of character if Moira were to have done that instead. Im still wondering where Moira’s character arc is going. What lessons has she learned since they’ve been there? Sure she’s made friends but she still hopes for an ‘escape’ to her old life

Emily keeps saying in press how Stevie was able to get from behind the desk and be more than the ‘sarcastic motel girl’ but I feel like she is still that girl in a way. Sure she’s working with Johnny and Roland to expand on more motels but I feel like she should have had more time to explore other career options. I would have re-written this season with a time jump as well and also make Patrick less passive and not have him & David wait until the LITERAL SERIES FINALE to talk many things out

I 10000% agree with your text posts about how you feel about season 6 of Schitt’s Creek! Like completely agree. I definitely see that Moira has went backwards instead of forwards in terms of character arc progression. I also hate the trope that women have to choose between love and career it’s so dated and I know that probably wasn’t dan and the other writers intention but it sucks seeing it. Also I agree about Stevie. I don’t see her as a businesswoman but something else

(more sc discourse sorry) im kinda disappointed that the crows movie ended up happening? it getting shelved couldve been a really good way for Moira to grow, with the way she almost gave up her acting career. i was expecting her to move into directing/producing, but it feels like the writers wanted a Shocking Season 5 Finale and then went "eh never mind"

that’s really interesting and that also applies to stevie and alexis’ stories and growth from the season 5 finale too...... 🤔

same about sc honestly, parks and rec did a great job with challenges being overcome in s7, community wrapped things up without stress and like even tgp somehow gave the characters challenges to overcome in the series finale and it wasn’t at all like “oh what the fuck this hurts my head”
