Mobile, Alabama is not the first place I would expect music like Scraepers Papers “Spiritual Favorites” to be made. It’s weirdo punk at its finest...not Southern fried rock. But the University of South Alabama is in Mobile, so maybe this is just a bunch of college friends banging out some truly weird yet oddly captivating music. Think The Coneheads, Camper van Beethoven, The Frogs, Devo and TURBOSLEAZE.
But really, Scraepers Papers doesn’t sound exactly like any of those aforementioned bands.
