Hugo shrugs, not wanting to think about what might happen if Aldo’s father found them-- can’t they just sit and be happy together? Enjoy this time together before he sneaks back into his own room. He doesn't want to go home, Aldo feels more like home than the house Hugo shared with his mother ever did.

“...Kiss?” Hugo murmurs, tapping at his lips expectantly. Just a little one at least, something to remain as a good memory for the horrors the next day would bring him.

He looks tan, like he works outside a lot. It must be nice, she thinks, to feel the sun against your skin. Her employer often suggested that due to her lack of social graces, inability to connect with other people and, most importantly, her little disposition, she would do well to stay within the walls of his organization. She didn’t mind it, after all, she was kept rather busy in the interrogation room.

“What do you do?” She questions, eyes bright and curious as she walks around him, wondering who this new man was-- she was told not to kill him, only to talk as they would be working together soon enough; on what, she wasn’t sure.

“Do you...want to see what I do?” She coos, nibbling at her lip as excitement starts to course through her. “I transform people-- Thoth says I’m an artist. Indescribably beautiful is what he called it, mhmm.”

Donny’s nose immediately wrinkled in slight disgust. “Ew, you just called Hugo the love of your life. Lieutenant, why are you so sappy?” He knows he’ll be chastised for talking back but he really didn’t want to address the fact that he lied.

“See this?” He questions, holding up what appeared to be a flip phone. It looked worn, perfectly normal and unsuspecting. He even opens it up and clicks, the screen coming to life, ready to dial.

“It’s a gun...sort of.” He clicks the phone shut and slides it over to Aldo, giving it a few taps. “You give to target. Then I call-- it ejects the screen at such high speed...lodges into brain.” He taps the side of his skull, exactly where it would end up.

“Looks like his phone-- neat, ja?” Hugo’s not known to smile, especially not on a job but he thought his little gadget was just so ingenious; so much so, the smallest of smirks makes its way onto his face.
