Just a little headcanon about why Miles called Alex a scampi fry here:
Alex is a Monkey
Miles is (was) a Rascal
What’s a synonym for both of those? A scamp
Scamp becomes scampi – a type of breaded or battered langoustine in the UK or general prawns in Italy
Scampi becomes scampi fries – a type of popular pub snack that’s scampi and lemon flavoured
It feels like one of their silly wordplay back and forths that stuck as a cute nickname. Maybe also something they bonded over eating as children like their shared biscuit selections 💜
