Classic Shrimp Scampi is a dish that has been around for a long time. It has juicy shrimp cooked in a sauce made of garlic, lemon, and white wine. It's easy, quick, and great for a dinner during the week or a special event.
Ingredients: 1 lb large shrimp, peeled and deveined. Salt and pepper to taste. 3 tablespoons olive oil. 4 cloves garlic, minced. 1/4 teaspoon red pepper flakes. 1/4 cup white wine. 2 tablespoons lemon juice. 2 tablespoons chopped fresh parsley. Cooked pasta or crusty bread for serving.
Instructions: Season shrimp with salt and pepper. In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add garlic and red pepper flakes, cook until fragrant. Add shrimp to the skillet and cook until pink, about 2 minutes per side. Remove shrimp from skillet and set aside. Deglaze the skillet with white wine, scraping up any browned bits. Stir in lemon juice and parsley. Return shrimp to skillet and toss to coat with sauce. Serve shrimp scampi over cooked pasta or with crusty bread.
