CHAPTER TEN: #REALCONTENTCREATORS

today is that day! 

the day where you and scaramouche meet up at the pet store… wait did you guys ever talk about what time? yikes! you forgot but it’s okay, you’ll tell him after you pack up the equipment and put tofu into his carrier. tofu curled against your leg, purring. you scooped the feline up into your arms. 

you scratched his chin, “hello, tofuu!” 

he gleamed and meowed back. “a good afternoon to you too. wait… it's noon?” the cat in your arms face seemed to fall into an exasperated frown as if this has happened before.

 (it has). 

 “hey! don’t you dare glare at me. let me call the really cute…” you gushed as you cleared your throat after tofu tilted his head in confusion. “excuse me, i had to cough…” you let out a small cough as the cat rolled his eyes. “and tell the cat thief when we are arriving at the store.”  

“meow.” 

“hey now, i’m not stupid, tofu. i know his actual name. i think it’s funnier to call him that, his reaction is cute.” when you flopped onto your white comforters, a light thud was heard. tofu leaped out of your arms and dragged your phone to you by the charm attached. when did tofu know your password? you swiped up on your phone to unlock it fully. 

“meow meow.” tofu rested on your lap as you pet him. your eyebrows furrowed as he leaned his face into your hand. 

taking your hand away to grab your phone, you replied. “yeah, i think he’s cute, don’t judge me.” while trying to shield yourself from your cat’s judgemental gaze and hearing the series of meows that could be translated to paragraphs. jeez, this reminds you of someone. rolling your eyes at your cat,  “if you say more of this–”

tofu interrupted with an annoyed meow. “this isn’t speaking your truth. this is being rude! after this video, i’ll limit your treats.”  

the cat rested on your lap, pleading his case. tofu let out a meek, frightened “meow!” you pat his head, smiling.
