-Blood related to Kaeya and got adopted by ragvindr family too
-She didn't know about kaeya being a spy as she was too young for her dad to assign her a mission and he didn't want to tell her
-Also before being taken in by ragvindrs, her memory is almost blank.
-Was very closer to both her brothers and accepted Crepus as her father as she always perceived her biological father distant and absent
-Didn't have many other friends other than Klee and Albedo
-Loved to play and learn violin, read books, climbing trees etc
-very shy, even more than kaeya but is a sweetheart
-a slow learner in reading the room and understanding other people
-didnt like being alone but would love to listen to convos with her friends or family rather speak on her own
-Practiced violin in secrecy by watching other students from far away and stealing borrowed a violin from a store to do so. With reference to guide books from library
-Diluc caught up on this and told Crepus. He stopped this and joined her to a violin class
-Took a 3 years to even play in front of the family but with Albedo's insistence and reassurance did play to them one night. That was when she received her vision
-But girl couldn't care less for it. Almost had it like an accessory while she continued to perfect her art
-Kaeya bought her a custom violin for her bday with all his saved money. She cried tears of joy for the first time in her life.
-Was a prodigy in music but was kind of slow in other things (girl spent all her free time with a violin, story books and listening to music what did you expect)
-Would also be interested in Crepus' way of handling everything and was drawn to his art of leadership. Crepus would also silently include her in some of these matters and allow her into business meetings to listen
-She too got roped in most of the ragbros shenanigans but got let off Scot free since people knew about her
-But she too orchestrated some of it to be successful and was equally guilty. Though the ragbros couldn't prove it to anyone
-And then....Crepus died...
-Diluc was devastated and spught revenge. Kaeya distanced himself. Karina not knowing what to do, managed all the things at the estate with a blank face and eyes glossed with tears She couldn't bare to shed
-Since crepus was a huge deal and a wealthy man, many people were already eager to mess with the legalities as his children were just minors
-Karina with some knowledge in these, began to take care of it in the estate with no time to grieve
-Unknowingly, she didn't find about the ragbros fight but instead saw Diluc being mad angry at her
-Diluc thought she was also a spy too
-But was extra angry as 1)she didn't even grieve or come to Crepus' dead body, 2)She didn't even reveal it to him like kaeya, 3)She was back in the estate with some legal documents
-So yeah diluc misunderstands huge time. And Karina thinking 'oh maybe he needs to speak in private with me?' Leads them away from allll the staffs and in the backyard 💀 with Diluc still holding a sword.....
-Diluc dead silent watches her cry and actually grieving since her father died and 💥 his sword in flames is stricken on her
-She manages to move a bit back but it isn't enough and her left eye along with eyebrows is stricken with the burning blade. She grabs the flaming swords with her hands to push it away
-Is shocked dead still as Diluc continues to shout at her about how she and her brother has betrayed their family, how she and Kaeya was the cause of Crepus demise, how they ruined his legacy blah blah still not realising that he actually attacked her
-Diluc after compressing his Grief about father's death and fighting Kaeya off is now breaking down before her but accidentally saying things he dosent mean
-All in the spur of the moment. He decides to end his shouts with 'Go back to your traitor brother and never show up here'
-Karina clutching her eye is stuck in shock as Diluc ends with that. Without another thought she rushes off from there
-She eventually goes to a river to soothe her burns while she processes what had happened
-Kaeya finds her upon the river after some minutes to reveal what had happened to her thinking she was in the dark
-Karina with her hair down hiding her slashed eye lashes out to Kaeya about how HE was a spy and didn't even tell her
-Kaeya after already dealing with Diluc was also not in the right mind and lashes out how he had to carry the burden as their biological father 'favoured' her more among them
-Hurtful words are exchanged but Karina is mostly shut down as she is more distracted by her bleeding eye
-Due to the intense argument in the moonlight they are both inching closer to the river with Karinas back facing it
-Kaeya ends off with how she was never his family at all as his newly untrained vision lashes out unexpectedly with being in tune with his emotions, freezes the ground beneath them (he is in his Elsa Era frfr)
-She slips and falls headfirst into the raging river and is swiftly swept away. She COULD have technically used her vision but she neither had the necessary training Nor the will
-Kaeya couldn't do shit in shock and his vision of unreliable against the fast river
-Karina accepts her fate to drown in the own element she has the affinity to and having lost all of her family
-Except sike- One of the people in Wangshu Inn notices her almost head self in the banks of the river and gives her medical treatment
-Is a miracle how she survives (plot armor) and wakes up in care of an old lady
-Discovers that whioe her hand is salvageable, her left eye has almost 0% vision and has a scar on the left of her face
-Is non responsive to anyone for weeks as she mourns her loss of everything. The lady keeps trying to speak to her but inevitably fails. She still makes her eat, bath, etc.
-One day as she is gazing out a window, hears a flute melody and follows it with Silent steps. But before she can find the source, it stops leaving her with no clue
-For the first time since she was rescued, she asks the lady about it and gets the answer of how the flute melodies come from nowhere and is rumoured of an unseen Yaksha around there
-the lady surprised to see her talking, quickly takes the chance to ask about who she was, were she is from, who are her parents etc
-Karina broken from her Silent stupor decides to answer her as she feels guilty
-But says that her name is Calypso, how she didn't know where she is from and that she is an orphanage. She further lies how she forgot the past events almost completely(says she's an amnesiac)
-Gets sick of how her appearance was too similar to Kaeya and decides to die her hair black completely. She also decides against wearing an eye patch....for obvious reasons and decides to cover the left side of her face with her own hair
-As seeing her dead eye and scar made her angry at herself for being so naive and angry at diluc
-decides to live a new life as she helps the old lady around and does odd jobs here and there to earn some Mora to support the lady as a token of gratitude
-While on one of her odd jobs, she comes to face with Hu Tao and she becomes friends with her. This is due to them being around the same age group and how Calypso didn't know about the gossips and rumours about Hu tao and also found her humour interesting rather than creepy
-the old lady worked in the kitchen and Calypso helped her around the kitchen whenever she could. Seeing her devotion, the old lady teaches her how to cook
-[Calypso previously didn't know how to cook as she lived in a rich estate with maids who made her everything she wanted]
-After 3 to 4 months, the old lady becomes sick and eventually bed ridden. Calypso would take care of her job and would also stay by her bed keeping her company
-Comes to learn how the old lady previously had a daughter who when she was at Calypso's age died. The reason she was persistent in saving Calypso and taking care of her was because she reminded her of her own daughter
-On one of their conversations, the old lady remarks how she always wanted to travel tevyat and instilled that own desire to Calypso. But she also remarks how she couldn't bare to leave her hometown and her daughters birthplace
-Her previous strong devotion towards pursuing music (more precisely violin) wears off as she was trying to live a new life. While running around pursuing jobs didn't buy her enough time or mora to buy a violin or get her enrolled in a class.
-Still she would patiently wait almost every other evening to hear the flute though was saddened that whenever she tried searching the melody would end
-When she was alone from her jobs, she would try out some vocals she heard from the people of Liyue
-Sadly the old lady dies while telling how she feels the eyes of her daughter, even if she was dead. Also ends of conveying her gratitude for Calypso taking care of her the past few months and wishes her 'whatever she is looking for'.
-Calypso is even more devastated from her death even if she knew her for much less time. She contemplates running away again but somehow she still feels indebted to this place

-She saughts after Hu Tao for the funeral and despite her tone deaf and cheerful comments dosent get angry. Though she feels strangly thinks about how the old lady talked about her long lost daughter.
-When she decides to investigate around Wangshu Inn, she comes face to face with a girl matching the descriptions. She has seen her before but though she was just another normal human being and left her alone
[Since Calypso had a near death experience]
-Decides to seek the help of Hu Tao to send the girl safely to her resting place. Seeing her expertise in the ghost works and how she can see the ghosts, decide to offer her a job in the parlor(???)
-Calypso politely declines but instead accepts a part time as she also wanted to keep the work of the old lady in the Wangshu kitchen
-Calypso meets Zhongli!! Wohoooo
