“ listen, i’m just saying: if you bring these to the office, everyone will love me. i’ll be truly happy.” she’s got pouty eyes on as she trying to convince him to bring yet another batch of cookies to the office. finally, she sets them down with a smile, standing on her tiptoes to put her arms around his neck. “you could at least pretend that you love me,” she teases, pressing a kiss to his lips.
“I don’t care if you knocked your toothbrush into the trash, you’re not using mine.”

it was risky , to the say the least. she had never delved and lingered like this ; she was like WIND , coming and going. but lighting strikes her heart — an unbridled feeling of attraction — and it’s what keeps her from abandoning another city to become another nameless face. mind speaks its disapproval , but heart says stay awhile longer. and it’s an ongoing argument between the two , but something had clicked. sparks fly , fire ignites. and what had been merely little talks back and forth had blossomed into little chats over coffee , into walking in the moonlight together , into this taste of tea on her lips that should be flavored with whatever lingered on his. ❝ you know , you don’t have to walk me back to my hotel. i’m perfectly capable of taking care of myself. ❞

how tragic to know she had forgotten such gentleness. a life warped by hurt and bruises to the point of neglecting to remember how sweet softness could be if done by the RIGHT HANDS. and perhaps this is selfish of her. he looks too much like another , but his words are easy on his tongue. they don’t leave scars ; there’s something innocent about all of this. and so she falls into bliss. the fingers laced through her hair do not pull or tug too hard ; he treats her delicately but knows she’s forged from iron. how poetic. and his kisses — peppered against bare , slender shoulders — sink into her skin and leave her feeling mesmerized. infatuation such a dangerous game , but she’s playing it so quickly. the pieces being moved already like chess. once the game has started , you cannot turn back , but she found herself not wanting to. she could grow so attached to his touch , to his lips against her skin. so much so that she’s already captivated ; WORDLESS.
