Summary:

"I believe that we are seeing reflections of his attempts to return to us through the Fade. Perhaps they have found their way to the Breach in their future-- I assume it is still there. It may be a bleed-over, from their side into ours."

"But why would he be at the Breach?"

"It could be that he knows you will try to seal the Breach even without him. If you are in the same place, even at different times... the resonance between your marks could help him find a way back to us."

Evelyn searches his face. Whether she's looking for the truth or reassurances, he doesn't know. He can give her neither. He has no answers for her, not this time.

Solas isn't sure what he wants to be the truth, either.

Summary:

Mahanon glances at the other elf and wonders how long he should or needs to wait before telling Solas about what happened in the future Redcliffe. Something more than 'I have visions of possible future outcomes. Bad ones.' Would it make a difference? Maybe not. Maybe it wouldn't mean anything at all. Maybe it wouldn't matter.

i'm getting real lazy about summaries and notes and please read my fic

Summary:

"Is that how you see it, Solas? That because it's in a dream, a vision in the Fade, it isn't real?" "That is the most common perception, is it not?" Solas's eyes narrow. "A dream is a dream, not reality. Perhaps it was once, or will be, but it is not in the present sense." "Do you think you're dreaming when you walk the waking world?" Solas doesn't let show how that question startles him. It hits close to the truth, though he doesn't know how that could be. Unless- does Mahanon think the same way? After all these visions, these dreams of dying.. does he think he is in another dream that will end the same way? (is he waiting to wake up? or waiting to fall asleep again?)

"Corypheus knows you disappeared in Redcliffe, right? And he doesn't know you're back. Does he?" "He almost did," Cullen says. Whatever was going on earlier seems to have passed and he's leaning back again, as if he could remove more of his presence to make Mahanon more comfortable. "It was.. prevented." Evelyn is pretty sure it isn't a templar's presence that triggers Mahanon, or else it would've happened a lot sooner, and a lot more often. "So we keep you hidden with those escaping." Evelyn nods. "I'll tell Corypheus you died, or something. Maybe blame it on Alexius and say you've disappeared because of weird time magic and we've no idea where you are." For some reason, that makes Mahanon laugh, hollow and raspy. She's not sure what's funny about it, but she'll take that small victory.

time travel fix it canon divergence au fic update lets go

Summary:

Alexius keeps up some small talk as they walk, which Mahanon responds to with simple 'hm's and 'I see's while he tries not to panic because this isn't how it's supposed to go. This is just the first talk. They shouldn't be going to the castle yet.

What changed? Should he even go to the castle? Are they being surrounded already? Varric looks jumpy, but Solas hasn't said anything yet. Maybe Solas isn't paying attention.

"..My son tells me he contacted the Inquisition for help with the rifts," Alexius mentions. At his side, Felix's figure falters just a bit.

Mahanon tries not to stare at him for too long.

"He did. I apologize for our responding so late, but it seems the mages have not suffered too much for it," Mahanon says.

He tries not to think about Ayla and how her situation might have been avoided if they'd known about the rifts earlier. If they'd been able to arrive earlier. If he had known earlier this could happen.

It didn't happen last time. Did it?
