Like a tigress on the prowl, she’d watched him from across the room. Tonight the caged ladies were the thing to watch, and she’d taken up her task as usual. From the looks of him, he was loaded. She could practically smell the money. Occasionally she’d lift her iridescent eyes to see that his gaze hadn’t moved an inch—the man was watching her just as much as she was watching him, but for a different reason. The corner of her mouth lifted into a knowing smirk as she adjusted the edge of her dress underneath her table. He’d risen and was already halfway to her.
Slowly Sophia’s gaze lifted to meet the eyes of her next target. She smiled softly and he slid right into the booth beside her. “Lovely night, isn’t it?” He said in a deep voice that chilled her bones. She immediately didn’t like him, but then again she rarely found interest in her targets. She could sense the balance of luck in him already. He’d gotten everything he’d ever wanted through his father, and nothing through hard work and determination. He slung his arm over her shoulder and she flashed him a winning smile. “I’m Sophia, but call me Sophie. I don’t mind if you’re casual.” She said sweetly. She saw his grin widen as he made himself more comfortable.
Good.
Sophia crossed her legs, the white dress she was wearing riding up her thighs and revealing just enough to get him to look down. “Oh it’s lovely. And the company as well.” Her words seemed to roll off her tongue seductively. The man gulped and Sophia knew she had him. “What’s your name hun?” She asked, with just the right pitch to her voice to get him to look at her face again. He was making this way too easy.
“Does it matter?” The man asked, his gaze dropping to her lips. “You from the South?” He asked her. Sophia simply gave him a small nod. He honestly thought that she was easy, how utterly ridiculous. “I love me a Southern Belle,” he said with confidence that she hated. Sophia leaned forward and pressed her hand against his chest.
“Really? I love me a man who knows how to handle a woman,” She said sweetly. He leant forward and drew himself closer to her, and just before their lips met, She paused and placed a finger on his lips. “Oh no, not yet. The night is still young, isn’t it?”
Hours later she’d managed to have him buy her enough drinks to buy her her own plane tickets to and from Florida. She’d cleverly stayed on her second drink while he was way past his fifth. At this point, Sophia didn’t have to keep up her charade. When he tried to drape himself over her, she simply pushed him away. A little more than irritated at his behavior, Sophia got up and headed towards the man standing in a secluded corner across the room.
“I think we’re done here.” She said with a sigh. He nodded and held out his hand. She plopped the wad of cash the drunkard had given her so she could “buy herself something nice for next time” into his hand. When she saw that he hadn’t withdrawn his hand, she rolled her eyes and pulled out the wad she’d been hiding in her bodice. The man pocketed the cash and tipped his hat.
“You’ll put in a good word?” She asked as she raised her eyebrow. The man chuckled and lit his cigarette. “You betcha.” He said as he lit it. “I always keep my end of the bargain,” He said and then puffed smoke in her face. Sophia made a face and dramatically turned away from him, adding an extra sway in her hips as she walked away.
When she was sure that he wasn’t looking, she reached into the inside of her shoes and pulled out an even bigger wad of cash. With a smirk, she started counting. “And I always keep mine.”
Anything else? (Faceclaim changes or anything) Nope! She's perfect :)
