BECCA: 

The day after Christmas lethargy had set in at the Goldstein house, and Becca had spent the morning curled up with one of her new books. She heard shuffling around occasionally, but was more than content to keep to herself until the traditional Boxing Day late lunch, the one her parents always had ready for her. Occasionally she’d glance at her watch, thinking it was getting a bit late, but when she finally saw her father standing in her doorframe, Becca shot out of bed, skipping in the direction of the kitchen. 

“Jules! Mum!” Becca called loudly, practically bouncing on the edge of her seat as she looked around at the meal waiting on the table. It didn’t look as delicious as usual; usually her mum was always there to keep him company, but maybe she’d been feeling under the weather this morning and that was why dad seemed to have hurriedly thrown together a meal not up to his usual standards. “Hurry up, if you two take any longer dad and I will already be celebrating Easter by the time you get here!” Becca tucked her knees up into her chair, turning to her father with a broad smile that she saved just for him, and asking while she waited, “Speaking of Easter, daddy... Am I old enough now for us to go to Paris during the holiday?”

Dear ‘Lil Bird,

You know I suck when it comes to words and stuff so I’ll keep this short and sweet and let the presents speak for themselves. The last one is a clutch but if you look inside, it comes with straps you can attach to turn it into a proper bag.
