Small rundown on my WoF au below the cut.. I do ship with my version of Queen Scarlet and I wanted to have a bit of a guide to look back on for myself

Yeah I should’ve made a new oc at this point, this takes away from a good lot of her character and how she’s Supposed to suck, so I do respect and criticism anyone wants to give! I just have to make excuses or else I’ll feel bad

Everything’s very similar, probably 90% of the history is the same: tribes, stories, animus magic, all that. The big difference is the lack of Queen Oasis and the prophecy of her daughters. They’re completely out of the picture here, and so are the Dragonets of Destiny

There have been other prophecies, and there may be one during the events of my focus, but the story isn’t bound to one like the first arc. Maybe the current Sandwing Queen is Oasis or any one of the daughters, but again, not about them. Also Rainwings and Nightwings r acknowledged kingdoms, even if they’re both fairly solitary/isolated

Peril is also absent, Scarlet doesn’t have a Firescales champion, rather she “strengthens” bonds with the current Sandwing ruler by taking any high security prisoners. There is also slightly less emphasis on her colosseum as well, it’s not her sole entertainment anymore

That goes to Mellow, a flighty little Rainwing who sees herself as quite the artist (Not sure if she’ll be a writer or painter yet, I’m thinking the former)

The Sandwing Queen is closest to Burn in her ways, rough and cutthroat, she noticed a dragon attending a royal ball one day is a slightly off color and decides to arrest her. Fortunately for her, Scarlet was attending this, and what’s more interesting than that? The guards are halted, nd Mellow comes face to face with fire herself

Anyways tl;dr Scarlet hasn’t abused a dragonet in this au and there’s no Sandwing to even consider shipping her with so #scarlow4life

full stop the funniest thing about Willow’s name originally being Paulina is trying to fit it into the current way the fandom handles ship names where she’s involved.

Like, Willuz, Scarlow, Huntlow, etc, they all flow off the tongue so smoothly. Imagine trying to find ways to make PAULINA fit with the same level of flowiness. Pauliza??? Punter? Hulina?? Scarlina is the only one that even remotely flows with the same level of satisfaction, but even then it sounds more like gibberish than a cute mesh of two different names. It makes me wonder if that were the case if her ship names would be like those poetic code names, like Honey Bee or Thorned Rose or something along those lines.

Willow obviously fits her much better with her being a plant witch and everything, but it’s hilarious to think about it from a fandom/shipper’s perspective, too

Scarlow is cute. Period.
