While trying to archive old IG posts I noticed that there are also a lot of photos in my computer I haven't shared. A lot of them were taken with the intent of sharing only after a certain goal was meant. For example, these photos of my Scarnival Skelita. I was going to share them only after I finished repainting and customizing all my other Skelitas. It sounds so silly now but it made sense at the time.
But if the last five years have taught me anything, it's that time is very limited and there's no such thing as the perfect time. Best to share things as they happen. Mistakes and all. Perfection is the enemy of good (and progress. And productivity. And happiness...).
So anyway, here's my Scarnival Skelita from ten years ago! 🤣 My husband bought her for me for his birthday, ha! I felt guilty about it until I realized that she was a difficult doll to come by and was very lucky to have her.
As I said, at the time I wanted to repaint everything. I'm glad I didn't and only detailed her instead. I painted the accessories which include a little piñata, a luchador masked ball, three luchador masked pins (?), and her shoes. I asked my mom to crochet me a little sash because I lack that skill. I'm quite happy with how she turned out here.
Unfortunately, she's been in storage for a few years. I hope to pull her out again. Maybe check if she needs to be deglued or needs other TLC.
Feels good to finally share her.
