Sherry had told her all about Jake and their time together in Edonia and China. Hearing the tone in the young woman’s voice, Claire could easily tell that Jake meant much more than a comrade to the blonde. Waiting in the coffee shop, she watched people walk up and down the street outside. Things seemed so quiet and normal, though Claire hadn’t really known normal since Raccoon City. She had some questions for Jake, and she suspected he wouldn’t like them.
But anyone who had his blood and connection to someone she loved dearly couldn’t walk away without answering them.
