20. In what ways does your character compare themselves to others? Do they do this for the sake of self-validation, or self-criticism?
Scathan compares herself to others only on the level of skills. She participates in sharp-shooting competitions, the odd bounty here and there, lots of those sorts of things where if she isn't the best there is then she'll study the best closely to see how she can improve.
Ruan often compares themself to other heroes. They just...don't really think the title of hero fits them, but so many people use it so they can't help but make the comparisons. And it's mostly for criticism, namely around what happened in PoF to them. Why would a hero go through that? Most don't have a time where they spent weeks or months on a murderous rampage as herald of a malicious god.
36. How does your character behave around people they dislike?
Scathan will be such a little shit!!! If she doesn't like you, you'll know it. She'll interrupt you, ignore you, casually nudge you out of social circles, all with a smile✨️ You will know when she hates you and the message to go away and how little she cares about you will be loud and clear!
Ruan is accommodating most of the time, if it's someone they personally dislike but others like. They'd be quieter with people they dislike than people they enjoy the company of. But if no one else likes you either or your just a straight up dick? Ooooh your gonna get it. They will smile at you while casually overheating the air around you until you leave. Or they'll outright light your shirt on fire if you don't get the message. It's more fun than simply telling someone to go away and there's the added amusement of making your enemies sweat horribly as they try to withstand the heat. They have a couple times used the "if you don't like the heat, get it off the kitchen" line and gotten immediate elbows in their side from the team.
44. How easy or difficult is it for your character to say “I love you?” Can they say it without meaning it?
Scathan won't say it just any time, but she will use the phrase on a whim. Either affectionately in a casual way, or very sarcastically on people she's already minority antagonizing uvu
Ruan is so casual about it but 100% sincere. They will not say they love you if they don't, but if they love you you'll hear it daily (shout out to Camilla @ascalonianpicnic who definitely heard it the most by a mile lmao). Casual I love yous are sprinkled throughout the day to the team as well~
