Scattered Beans #4
8/27/10 - So just now, I found out the truth. After a week of not talking to [Dean], he finally called me about 3 minutes ago. I missed his call, but I called him back. Before I go on, here's what happened throughout the day before his call. [Sammy] (Dean's brother) IMed me. I asked him if he had talked to Alex recently, and he said last week. He told me that Dean brought the girl he liked to his parents' house-- well, obviously it wasn't me since I didn't go meet his parents, so it was most definitely [Paulina]-- and said she was very kind. So I naturally thought that it must have been why he hasn't spoken to me or gone to church & I told Fr. Anthony what was happening. It really made me feel a whole lot better. He even said something that really stuck in my mind: "He seems like he's the one who doesn't know what he wants." Thank God for Fr. Anthony:) He said that if I ever need to talk about it, I can talk to him whenever.
So anyway, Dean calls me from some foreign number. He asks me how I'm doing, and me, in my monotonous, unhappy, sighing voice (I currently have a headache), I said I was alright. He said his phone wasn't working anymore & that someone had activated his Facebook account. I knew he wasn't telling me something, so I asked, "What else is new?"
"A lot of things changed. I'm happier," he said.
"And why is that?" I provoked him.
--Blahh. Blahh.-- Finally he quits beating around the bush and tells me that Paulina picked him and that they're dating, but they're not official. *sigh* there it is. "I'm glad you're happy," I said.
He said that she still gets jealous when he talks to me because "she thinks I like you."
...And I mumbled, "And you don't..." But he heard it. And then he went on with his ranting about how I'm amazing & that ~ blahh blahh. Can't fall for that crud. Maybe it's true, but obviously it's not good enough for him.
He says he'll be at church & that he's just been under the weather. Ahh whatever.
