•amalie grew up in a tiny apartment in new york, new york.
•her mom, maya hart-matthews, a successful portrait and contemporary artist in the North America, started getting recognition for her work in Europe, so her mom had to fly out to different places for weeks on end.
•but amalie didn't mind for the most part cause when her mom did come home, she would always make up for it by going on trips to six flags and walking around central park.
•whenever her parents were at work, she would stay at her grandparents and play around with her grandpa shawn's old dslrs.
•she grew to love capturing the moments no one seemed to notice, and the ones everyone wanted to reminice.
•she also wanted to know about every tea-full moment, which made her come off as nosy to some people.
•amalie loves capturing moments, but doesn't quite love interacting with a big crowd. she loves the intimate feel of a small group.
•she can handle big crowds sure, but would rather stay to the side than be the life of the party.
•she finished high school and, went to nyc for a year to study photography.
