SCC 4 event highights included debut fighters David Kelly and Andrew Miller thrilling the crowd with an absolute three round war in their fight while Kevin Lieb and Eric Cody weren’t far behind in the excitement department as far as they fight went either.
The rest the night was filled with plenty of TKO and submission finishes that are worth a look so enjoy all the SCC 4 fight videos below!

SCC 4 Interview - Danny Orr (Fight Science)
By Mike Calimbas (Texas MMA Event Photos)
37 Year Old Former Marine Looks to Continue His Winning Ways at SCC 4
GALVESTON, TX, August 2, 2013 – At 37 years old, Danny Orr (1-0) is no spring chicken when it comes to athletic years. Specifically for mixed martial arts, he’s entering the sport at an advanced age where it is typically known as a “young man’s game” after having started at Fight Science little over a year ago.
Yeah there are exceptions when it comes to this. Randy Couture ruled the world when he was upwards of forty. And guys like Mark Hunt, Vitor Belfort, and Dan Henderson continue to soldier on as well. But these guys are all veterans. What’s it like for someone just starting out in the sport as opposed to approaching the tail end of their careers?
Well in one word, fun.
When it comes to descriptions, Danny Orr doesn’t see himself as a UFC prospect or anything like that. Rather, he’s a family man and a Safety director for a local construction company just looking to push the envelope with what he can accomplish athletically.
As a former Marine, he’s never lost that edge when it comes to physical performance, as a matter of fact he’s fought to maintain it by winning as many fights as he can schedule for himself. And he values the relationships he’s forged with his coaches and training partners so this all comes very naturally to him.
He’ll be taking on opponent Tyler Morrison tonight at Superior Combative Championships 4 in Galveston, TX, an opponent he describes as a BJJ blue belt and strong striker with seven fights total.
“Like all fights I train as hard as I can and keep my cardio up,” Danny told us heading into this one. “I think it will be an exciting fight with lots of striking but it will end on the ground and my hand will be raised. I’m glad I’m not in my opponent’s shoes.
Fighter Acknowledgements
I’d like to thank my coaches Brian Georges and Jimbo Powell for all their hard work and dedication, as well as the Wrecking Crew at Fight Science for showing up and pushing me every day. And Last but not least my beautiful wife and cardio coach Lacie, owner of Roughouse Bootcamp. – Danny Orr
