...... BY THE PEACH TREE
[modernist screenplay, all lines acted dramatically and al gusto]

GEMMA: *loud and joyfully* look. Look at how the orange edge the blue sky. Look how happy that are together.
RHO: *looks* we’re here to pick the tree clean and eat them all. Isn’t it cruel to call the fruit of the earth happy when humanity is about to destroy it?
GEMMA: *starts to cry* are you calling me evil?
RHO: are you human?
*the tree shudders*
GEMMA: yes I am human in my bone, I am human in my blood, I am the song and weep of an unspoken place between marrow and galaxy. Because humanity is destruction but it is also joy, and a moment torn from its past and present, is not cruel at all. It’s alive.
RHO: *falls down at the same time as all the peaches falls from the branches* then eat me too, oh humanity with pigtails. Because my flesh does rot a little every day and my moment is a pit.
