“Hey, there,” you winked. “What’s a pretty boy like you doing around these parts?”
His eyes widened slightly as a blush crept onto his cheeks. He looked away and awkwardly coughed into his fist before turning back and clearing his throat. He grinned and leaned in towards you - his demeanor suddenly more confident.
“Oh, so you think I’m pretty?”
You playfully smiled back. This was going to be fun.
“Very much so,” you replied. “Prettiest boy I’ve ever seen. You haven’t answered my question though. What brings you around here today?”
“I heard rumors about this charming and intriguing person and had to make my way here. To see if the stories were true. I wonder if that’d be you?”
You raised a hand to your lips as you let out a laugh. “I don’t know. Maybe. Depending on who you asked.”
He chuckled. “Well, I’m sure it’s true. I’m honored to finally meet you and be in your presence. Even more so, that you complimented me. I think I’ll come by more often - if that’s alright with you.”
You leaned in towards him as you thought absentmindedly, taking note of his slight movements as though he didn’t expect you to be so close so quickly.
“Hmm, well, someone as handsome as you will definitely draw in more customers, so I don’t see the problem.”
He laughed, “Good - I’m glad.”
The two of you may have been flirting nonchalantly but you noticed how the tips of his ears were red and how he seemed to be trying to keep the blush on his cheeks to a minimum.
Honestly, you probably weren’t any better either, but it was cute watching him try to keep up with you.
