Why do you say what you say about scene? /gen

if you’re talking about the sexism thing, scene as a subculture emerged as a rejection of how sexist the hardcore and emo scenes were. men in the scene called women posers simply because of their gender. the term “scene queen” was derogatory and many girls who wanted to participate were shunned off. they got accused of wanting to show off when they wanted to participate. therefore, scene as a subculture was a rejection of said misogyny, and it was an offshoot that developed into scene as we know it today!
