So just to keep y’all up to date. I’ve been working down at the Utah Shakespeare Festival as their Deck Carpenter. nbd.
In my spare time I’ve been doing a redesign of the youth room at the church I used to go to. The main concern was price, to bring the space up to date (the last paint job was over 6 years ago, I know, I was there) without spending a whole lot of money. Which meant a new paint job. Above is the necessary before picture. And the second is my proposed design that I did up in photoshop (not my best photoshop job, but i’ve been busy!). The black stripe along the walls and the black on the doors would be chalkboard paint, creating many spaces for announcements, sign-ups, and other fun art work. The entire room is mostly below ground, so I tried to choose a fun, bold color to brighten up the space. The orange was a last minute addition, those columns used to be white and the whole space was feeling too Dallas Cowboys for my liking. lol. I thought a pop of color might do the space some good. We will see how they like it!
