Ruby stared at her mother, tears welled in her eyes. She stopped trying to speak and just waited to be let go. She didn’t know what was going on and quite frankly she was a bit scared.

 “Oh, well… This is dyed, so it can be a mess too! Everytime I dye it I have to put my hood up so it doesn’t get everywhere…”

Summer was being silly. Of course Raven knew it was dyed and it was much less of a struggle than, well, feathers.

“Yes, I saw the one time Taiyang scared you in the bathroom while you were refreshing the dye, it looked like someone was murdered.”

Raven laughed as she shook her head. “Still easier than molting, if you ask me.”

(scentlessrose) "Oh, you're awake already! I didn't hear you come home last night... You should be getting rest right now. You don't need to be up and about after a mission."

Taiyang chuckled at her concern. “Sorry for not letting you know when I got back, you were already asleep so i just passed out on the couch. Didn’t want to disrupt your beauty sleep.” He joked. “You know me, no little mission is gonna keep me from getting up to see my girls.” In all honesty, he was dead tired but like he said. He wanted to spend time with Summer so there was no way he was just going to lounge around.
