Favorite character:
I love the original madou main cast of Arle, Rulue, Satan, Schezo. Then like some totally random faves like Demon Servant and Scylla. Non-madou faves I like Amitie, Raffina, and Lemres.
Least Favorite character:
there are so many random minor characters I could put without offending anyone but that would be boring. Feli. I’m sowwy.

A random thought:
puyo has the same appeal as touhou. some asshole with too much power decides to fuck things up for some reason and the protag has to go tell them to fuck off but in the end there’s not a whole lot of animosity between the characters. They’re both Stage based, which doesn’t allow for super complex stories but enjoyable nevertheless and a huge cast with something for everyone.
An unpopular opinion:
Seeing people have heated debates about what is and isn’t canon is so stressful guys the writers don’t even know what’s canon. Canon is whatever you want it to be.

Character I feel the writers screwed up (in one way or another):
Puyo is kinda in gotta keep the status quo limbo which means no one’s really going to get development but i feel like Rulue was hit especially hard. I miss her and Arle being friends.
Favourite friendship:
I like the weird relationship between Arle, Rulue, Satan, Schezo though it might not be friendship all of the time. Arle has been dealing with their bullshit for 30 slutty, slutty, years.

A random thought:
The series is an attempt to add a more complex story and greater character interaction in a genre that doesn’t really allow for too much of it. It could be too limiting and that’s why JynX is exploring other gameplay styles to tell the story they want to tell.

All of Saragimaru’s character depends on other people and if it stays this way that would be really unfortunate, but it also lends potential for them to have a great character arc about being their own person and having their own wants and desires. We’ll see.
