So I play DM and I am the forever GM of my group and oh good god the worst part isn't keeping notes... which I should do. It isn't creating good villain's or quests. It isn't fixing the Parties fuck ups or trying to figure out where to make the story go. No the problem seems so benign as its scheduling. Scheduling s the worst and it makes me want to go bash my head into a wall.
