Don’t get Severide wrong for a second - more than anything he loves his family. He loves being a father, a husband, and all that comes with it. But sometimes a man needs time away from all the estrogen in the house ( that includes the judgmental cat ) . He’s enlisted Casey, because it’s been awhile since the two of them hung out together. At first he thought that Molly’s would be the place to go, but he opted to take Casey some place different. Still with drinks, but away from the work environment. He’s sure he’ll catch an earful from Herrmann about loyalty and integrity later. He sat, waiting for Casey to show up. Certainly they had some “gossiping” to do of their own. After all it’s not exactly a mystery that Cassandra’s best friend was staying in town for more than just moral support and as a free babysitter.

As Mick walked in, Josef looked down at his phone with a slight huff. “ It’s nice to know that Rose is avoiding me - again. “ Setting his phone down on the desk he turned to Mick then with a smile. “ Please, tell me you also have the luxury of being ignored by our dear friend.” though odds were she’d give Mick more of the time of day than she gave him.

He was getting used to that - after all he made it a mission to get under her skin for the thrill of it. After all having her in their little group made for some fun.

HAVING GROWN KIDS MADE HOLIDAYS a little more than difficult to make plans. While Danny would love to spend time with family, he also couldn’t be upset with it just being him and Mary this year. Everyone had their own thing going and now it was their year to do whatever they wanted. So, they planned a trip! 

“I don’t know what I’m supposed to pack.” He told Mary as he was looking at his suitcase which just had his usual attire, and even a tie or two in their for good measure. “Are you going to tell me where we’re going? I should really know if I’m bringing speedos or a onsie.” though he didn’t actually have speedos, the point still stood firm.
