Loan refund, please come in soon... Ulta is calling my name...
I should be getting about $2000.00 back tomorrow from financial aid loan refunds. I'll probably be irresponsible and use it to buy more good makeup as well as other things. Please hurry up, money lol.
It really is a relief getting my school refund next week which I can use towards stuff I need and then my tax refund within three weeks. Which I can use to finally pay off my credit cards.... Without this refund, it'd take me forever to pay them off. And I hate how much debt I got myself into with them. I will be more responsible once it's paid off. I can't get to that point again.
Finally, my school refund money came in!!! We had the last of our "Emergency Stash of Ramen" last night. Shit was about to get real. But it's all gonna be okay now. :)
Oh and,
The IRS accepted my tax return so hopefully I get that little bit of money before the government tries to garnish my refund for medical bills. *fingers crossed* Still waiting on my little bit of school refund also. Got my maternity support belt in the mail. The baby shower is coming up so I can hopefully get the rest of the stuff I need. And one of my friends is trying to buy this house thingy that has 4 apartments in it. If she does, she is going to let me rent one out for cheap so I can save for a car and try to get me a job with her so I could ride with her and our kids could go to the same daycare. So hopefully that works out.
Back to school!!
So school is back in session and it’s time to buckle down and get focused. I want to encourage you all who are getting financial aid to “map out” your refund check to spend it. What I mean by “mapping it out” is plan ahead on what you will do with your spending. 1. Pay bills ahead -pay your rent, insurance, credit card bills. This frees you up for months ahead, and gives you a little cushion. 2. Pay back your refund -to the ones with student loans, if you are able, give some of your refund back. Always keep in mind you have to pay these loans back. If you do not need the extra for gas or bills, before blowing it on useless things, give it back. 3. Save for hard times - saving this check can go toward future hard times in the school year (God forbid). But things such as a car breaking down or medical expenses do come up in life and can get very expensive. 4. Spring break - okay this is a little irresponsible for me to put this… Lol! But spring break trips can be a little costly (which there will be a future post for that) and before putting that burden on parents to provide for that trip, you can put this money toward spring break. 6. Living - most importantly live! Pinch off a little time at a time if you’re not working or have bills. This is for times you’d like to make that trip back home or have a little outing with friends. But spend wisely!
There are way more ways to save and use the money. Although, these are a few things that I thought of that have actually happened to me. Feel free to comment or send a message on saving this refund; I ,as well as others, would love to know how you save your refund check!
CitiBank
Really? Seriously? My book loan was returned for whatever reason that they can't get me a damn answer to. Citibank told me my money should be ready in my personal checking account. Shit still wasn't there. Called my bank, no transactions or return history or anything pending at all. Called CitiBank, "Oh it looks like it was returned." What the fuck do you MEAN returned?! The 3 other people I spoke to yesterday told me it was there and nothing was wrong with the transfer.
