My very good friend @mspearlashong blessed Schools Support Project (@SspGhana)with One thousand copies of Note 1 exercise books and I can’t even shut up about it ❤️🕺 We’ve been planning our birthday together for sometime now because I’m 27th and she’s 28th October but ‘abnormal’ Jonilar won’t pin his small nyaaash at one place for us to do it 😂 So last week, she came all the way from Takoradi for us to do some of the village arounds, it was stressful and adventurous at the same time😂. We couldn’t do Tornu near Dorofor Adidome last Friday due to heavy rains. So today, we went to one of the schools on our list, Luom Presby Basic School in the Shai Osudoku District . We did not only give them books and writing materials but also admonished them to be passionate about their education. GOOD NEWS FOR OUR PEOPLE ❤️ | @SspGhana update. The weekend was a very busy one for us. From Village to Accra, Accra to village, back and forth like that all in the interest of providing CLEAN WATER for our people in the village. As mentioned in my previous posts on Schools Support Project page, we have three(3) levels of interventions: 1. Supply of water gallons 2. Provision of buckets 🪣 and water filters 3. Drilling Standard boreholes . In light of that, together with our amazing partners(names withheld for now) we tried and tested our water filters and the outcome is what you see in the photo below. With this innovative process, they can start drinking clean water whiles we start mobilizing funds and support for the borehole project. A delegation from two(2) villages were present and also excited about the outcome. I have a lot of names to thank in my subsequent posts for the amazing contributions their making towards our outreach. God bless you so much for having our fellow Ghanaians at heart. Whiles somebody was busy reporting @SspGhana page on Facebook , I was also busy having a meeting with Togbe Kumawu,Chief of Gborkope,his counselor of Elders, opinion leaders and some selected individuals about how fast we can bring clean water to village. The water situation there is extremely horrible, both humans and animals share water from the same source - very disheartening. [ Watch video here - https://bit.ly/3rqDenj ] Here are our interventions: 1. Occasional water supply with 30 ‘Kuffour gallons’ from Juapong to the village. 2. Water filter bucket 🪣 for every household 3. Drill a standard borehole that can serve the entire village. We also discussed Reading club and the learning materials we gonna be giving out when School resume in September.
