Had to say adiós to the buffet as the app reminded us that we had the Adult Card Making Workshop coming up at Schooner Bar. Even before we started the workshop, colleague made use of his entitlement to order us Margarita Azul. The beautiful ocean blue colour came from the addition of blue Curaçao liqueur. While the salted rim helps to counteract any bitterness from the tequila, which, in turn enhances both the drink's sweet and sour notes. Nonetheless, Margarita was still a strong cocktail and it took me a bit of getting used to the high alcohol content.
The card that we were making was a Paper Camera. We were issued a stock card with pre-printed drawing of the camera’s components, stick glue and scissors. While it was not a hard project, having to cut around those small wordings took a little more time then to just use a pen knife cutter. I did feel a little light headed, maybe from the alcohol but I still managed to complete my project. :D
We stayed back to sip our Margarita Azul as we waited for the Origami Class to commence. We did however change to a more comfortable table when some of the other people left. We invited a pair of sisters to join us as they could not find an empty table due to arriving in late. Although in their 70s, both were sporty and one of them even tried out bumper cars! Our first paper folding task required us to form several creases on the colourful papers which would later become the petals of the Lotus Flower . When you have flowers, you got to have Butterflies. It was a little less complicate to make compared to the lotus but equally beautiful result. And oh, I did not manage finish my Margarita Azul.
