Ahhhh but you're HARD. 

Ok I wrote this big long thing where I was like HOW DID WE MEET ANYWAY but I actually went and looked that shit up because I knew I could and I saw what brought us together: you and I are not unalike. We weren't expecting that. When you and I first met up, we were both ready for a fight. 

That said, I will tell a story like you did, though it's 4am and I'm longwinded.

TL;DR HOW COULD WE NOT GET ALONG, YOU'RE QUICK, I'M CRASH. WE'RE FAMILY.

I remember why we had to talk.

Nie and I were in the indies, keeping our ear to the ground as we do. We didn't know you at the time (we knew who you were though, cause we were watching that shit like a hawk,) but Plant always had the best blog on "megatumblr" and was actually good.... so we read it willingly.

It was like the Cold War for MMC Tumblr RP at the time, because for some fucking reason everyone hated our guts despite not doing shit apart from being exclusive and having a full roster. I had just been chewed out by this one really loud indie for LITERAL HOURS about what a super fucking shitty person I am because our group had rules. Not only did she come off as completely fucking demented, by the time you and I spoke, I was sick up to my eyeballs with having to listen to our group get bashed over and over by indies while we just sat there and took it. People were fucking tagging their hate in the AMR tag. Soooo can't say I was all that excited to talk to you, considering the subject matter.

The subject matter being, of course, the formation of TMN. 

We were worried it was gonna be the Robotopia bullshit all over again, and that WAS total bullshit, but it was the best we could manage with them-  an armistice. 

You and I kinda danced around each other at first and got a feel for where we stood (respect was directly discussed). We were both pretty on edge. I asked you what your intent was and explained the situation, and you promised us that you weren't going to fire a torpedo into AMR's side during its slowest season.... and you kept your promise. You've kept all of your promises. That's not an easy thing to do, as I know that you have pressure on your side just like I do on mine, but you've managed to keep every promise you made to us. 

So anyway, you and I are having this super tense super serious conversation about the future of MMC RP on Tumblr, and I mention that someone had just torn me a new asshole just for having rules, and that I was really concerned for baby TMN and for you in general because your big deal at the time was that you and your indie clan were setting yourselves apart and putting together rules and exclusivity and etc. 

Then this happened:

And wooosh, tension gone. 

From there we just hit it off completely and talked for hours. I was eager to give unsolicited advice on "shit id have changed if i got to do this over" and you were kind enough to not ask me to stop talking. We actually declared each other friends two hours in, after having commiserated deeply with one another. 

After that, meeting you was more novel than frightening. "How will we know it's her? WE SHOULD WEAR OUR AMR SHIRTS YOU GUYS OMG". Meeting you was so fucking great, we hit it off completely, and you've been our pet rock ever since. We don't hang out NEARLY enough, and I really enjoy your company. 

first impression: Best indie, but I don't get why she's playing in the Indies. I really like this Plant though, and she seems like she's not crazy. How the hell does she put up with this?

truth is: Still not crazy! That's an accomplishment in and of itself in this fandom. Serious, hardworking, loyal, you're the Hufflepuff of MMC rpers.

best feature: Levelheaded, willing to work with me on ridiculous ooc bullshit drama that neither of us care about but both of us are obligated to resolve against our wills. It's like we're on the same chain gang (though why you willingly joined this brings your sanity into question). How you keep your cool while everyone around you (me) is a torrent of emotions is pretty impressive to watch.
