“It’s a storm.” He pushes the door close. Relenting to the idea of being stuck there for whoever knows how many hours. It was that or get knocked around by the wind outside. A fact cemented by the loud bang of the former residences trash can being thrown against the ground.
“I hope you brough a book with you because it’ll be a long night.”
“Strange. I recognize this woman, but just barely. I think I’ve seen her out and about before.
But I really like that outfit. ‘Specially the little cut outs. I wonder if she made them herself.”

Amiee had been running on fumes all day, so when the duo finally had down time, she had to fight to stay awake. But the small house they found for shelter, with the warmth of the small fire they had made, it was...nice. And soon she found herself leaning into Miriam, eyes slowly drooping till they were shut and her breath evening out.

He shrugs before smoothing his fingers through her hair. Adjusting and fixing the parts that appeared tangled or out of place.
“I think there’s a branch or something in there. Hold on.” With the absence of someone who perhaps did this all the time, he parted one section near her ear and pulled the end of a twig out from it. “There.” He states while holding it out to her. “Nothing was “messed up” and you are now one twig wealthier.”
