I know my followers know this story, but I'm hoping this gets a little further than that. Jonathan and I have been dating since high school, 7 years total. He's my best friend and last may, he proposed to me on the beach. We've been planning ever since, but now with recent events, we might have to push, postpone, or cancel our wedding plans. I have been diagnosed with Guillian Barré syndrome, an autoimmune disease that attacks the protein around the nerves, causing them to die. Because of this, I've lost feeling in my feet, hands, abdomen and a few other places, including one of my eyelids. I'm also unable to walk properly, due to weakness from the disease. As a result, I will not be able to work, or save money for my wedding, just less than 5 months away. Recovery could take days or weeks or months, possibly years, and it all depends on what my body wants to do.
