Arms are crossed tightly over his chest, Mark gazing towards the teenage boy currently standing in his kitchen. His pose is defensive, taking in the slightest movements of the other, eyes raking over him for anything he didn’t like.

Hesitating outside the door of his daughter's room, Mark almost stepped away for the third time in the past minute, before choosing to stay where he was once more. Chloe'd been up here for most of the day, so he had come up here with more than one purpose, one being to check on her and the other...
