a stir of uncomfortableness would be felt in the pit of his stomach as he strongly felt nauseous with the current situation and what was unfolding before his eyes. witnessing his master or more appropriately the one who had turned him into a creature of the night feeding upon wealthy aristocrats who were a fan of the theatre as the group had invited them to one of the persons lavishly large home after a night of partying in the main hall of the theatre. eskel would do what he was told to watch and study how she would work on her prey trying to let their guard down as she was so skilled in it as it fascinated and mesmerised him so much. now was the time of terror as the guests were screaming and running with jillian having resorted to pure violence as he witnessed she took joy and pride in her kills like she were nothing more than a predator and the hunting grounds were the rooms within in the mansion. most of them tried to escape and flee yet she was too fast for them breaking necks, snapping bones and crushing legs. she was vicious however their was a serene attraction to it as he felt ashamed to be turned on by how she remained so sharp and ruthless in her actions like she was simply picking out a meal on a menu.

" he addressed her openly and directly however he wasn't confident in his tone. a guilty expression swept over his features. he felt someone's hands grabbing his ankles with eyes immediately looking down on the persons face who cried ' help me ' . eskel tried to pull away as the woman gripped tighter screaming ' how could you ' . " i can't do this. i can't kill good people even if i am thirsty. " his words were directed to his master as he shook his head. " bad people we agreed upon like murderers. not innocent lives. " he was conflicted as he hungered for fresh blood tempted to bite however he was hesitant too due to his morals.

The view of the garden from the tea room's window seemed taken straight from a painting: Spring had arrived and managed to turn the cold, almost inhospitable old house into what reassembled a home. "Oh, I'm glad you could make it for tea, dear. I was afraid work would keep you away." Charlotte greeted her husband with a smile, almost as warm as the afternoon. Giving the season all the credit wouldn't have been completely fair, as she had been working long and hard into making the building somewhere she and her new husband could enjoy living. She never imagined being a wife would entail so much work, and it felt like a never ending one. Not that she complained - it was just harder than expected.

As they sat down at the table, Charlotte paid close attention to the way the service served the tea, eager to test the newest hires. It was only after they left that she rested on the chair, focusing back on her husband. "What do you think about them? Have you noticed the extra help around here?" It was a tricky question; good service wasn't noticiable. If he had noticed, it meant that they hadn't been as good as she has been told they would be. "We spend so much time doing our respective duties, darling, that if you have a comment about how the house is turning out, now would be the perfect time to say it, so it doesn't become a place you don't like."

"You never like my tone," murmured softly under breath, her smugness just on the verge of being on full display. Eyes focused on hands folded in her lap, sitting on the edge of their bed as her husband paced back and forth. She tried her hardest to keep from finding the whole scene amusing because, honestly, what had he to be jealous of? She'd literally never known another, shoulders shrugging with the question. What did he want with her? "Nothing?" Tipping her head as if to help her run through the brief conversation with one of his work associates, "I suppose he was just making conversation so we didn't stand in silence. It really isn't a big deal, Theo. Honestly, he was only trying to be polite."

What the fuck was she doing here? The question kept repeating itself as the red Toyota Corolla stumbled up the driveway towards the Ranch where she'd spend the summer. And it continued to swirl in mind even as she parked, moving to pull out the duffle bag she'd jammed with clothes. Pausing to collect thoughts in the back of car before she'd turn to face whatever asshole she was sure was waiting on the other side of the door. She could do this. How else would people like them to learn their lesson? With that, the door is slammed, and she turns to face the giant house, letting out a low whistle as dark eyes finally take in her temporary home.

WEARING HER HUSBAND'S SHIRT underneath the flimsy white apron might not have been the best protection against the hot dangers of baking and cooking but at this point there was no more risk to take - all that was left was to decorate the gingerbread cookies and the little chocolate waffles with some icing and a springle of sugar. Anna looked up from another batch of freshly made sweets when a sudden cry rang through the air, adrenaline jumping high in her veins as the brunette nearly dropped it all and rushed towards the door to see what was happening - only letting out a sigh of relief as the loud, shrill sound turned into a round of careless giggles. the woman still made her way to the living room, arching a brow and leaning against the doorframe at the sight before her "This is the exact same amount of mess that was here an hour ago." the woman playfully scolded the children but her green eyes were teasingly accusing the one adult in the room. "why are there not more ornaments on the tree?" she taunted with a grin "i nearly finished with the cookies and you are still way off from finishing with the tree."

One of the many reasons he was left to his own devices when it came to decorating for the holidays.
