haera had entered the cafe just as his group chat started asking him about the milfs in tokyo. they didn’t believe him, so george had sent them photographic evidence. whilst paying for his order, he’d turned his back around for two seconds and then his phone was gone. thank god for findmyiphone. the door finally opens after he’d knocked to a funky beat. “ hey! ” enthusiasm quickly dwindles when he sees who’s answered. shit. must’ve been the kid. “ how’s it going? we haven’t met before. i’m george, ” he holds out his hand, forcing a smile.

he made it through the wilderness   --   somehow he made it through   --   how he had made it through with barely a scratch to his collar and an ache to his shoulder was still quite questionable.   his brothers had often joked about him being superman but he really hadn’t thought it’d be so literally when it was tested against mother nature as so.   but the second he feels the cool effects of the antimicrobial ointment hit one of his scratches at his cheek does he hiss,   okay   --  maybe not so made of steel.

     ━━     she isn’t sure what possesses her to put blind trust into a two year old,   but she does.   though knowing jinny’s loose mouth,   who knows if she’ll keep her promise as well as yihwa hopes.     “   okay jinny, this has to be a secret between you and me.   ”     if her handler gets a hold of her eating such things,   especially so late at night,    she could only imagine the headache of a call she’ll be getting from her mother.     “   pinky promise that if i let you eat ramyun,   you won’t tell anyone that we ate it,   alright ?   ”     as her jinny’s little pinky wraps around yihwa’s,   she sets the small bowl onto the coffee table in front of the little girl and her impatient trainer chopsticks.   it’s adorable.     “   here you go,   be careful   --   it’s hot.    blow on it.   ”

he could trace the perimeter of the patch of grass with his eyes whilst standing in the same position but he understands how some people might refer to it as a garden. he nods once and closes the door. when he turns around, the kitchen is right there. incredible. “ those fences don’t provide much privacy. who are our neighbours again? ” @scnhaera​
