          a part of her wishes the world could just open up and swallow her whole   --   probably incinerate her on the way to the earth’s core.   or,   even better,   if it could swallow all the warring countries and let them settle in some diplomatic fashion that didn’t make her head go awry from just trying to understand the political jargon.   it probably shows on her face   --   she had never been one to hide her emotions easily   --   turning to selene as she sighs,     “   i’m sorry,   you were saying  ?   all this political mumbo-jumbo has begun to make my head hurt.   ”
