| 🎈 | Pinkie finally felt safe going to bed at night. Not completely, of course, there were still the night terrors of her lost friends and Pinkamena trying to slip her messages in her dreams, but she felt more comfortable now that she’d asked and allowed Sunset to sleep in her bed with her.
She’d wake up routinely around midnight, snuggle closer to her friend and stay awake as long as she could. Sometimes she managed to fall back asleep, most of the time she stayed there, nestling into her side until morning came. She didn’t think it was possible, but it seemed she was growing even more dependent in Sunset Shimmer over time. Now they ate every meal together, stayed side by side every time they left the house, and just recently started sharing Pinkie’s bed at night. It felt nice, to have her close... And she hoped things would stay this way for just a little longer.
One night she awoke from her sleep and rolled over to find the space beside her still warm, but empty. She swung her legs over the bed, rubbing her eyes and headed into the living room. “Sunset?” She mumbled, leaning against the wall. “What’s wrong?”
