What do you think of an AU in which Scooby doo and mystery inc were the ones dealing with the Yeerks invasion, and the Animorphs sans powers, but are also mystery solvers, met mystery inc later and helped Scooby and company out while Jake and others had to deal with a supernatural mystery of their own?

I’m not entirely familiar with scooby doo, but this seems like it could be interesting!  I’m not sure if I really know enough to discuss this, but i’ll post this in case anyone wants to jump in on a discussion or something.

Also... does this imply that scooby is a nothlit like Tobias?  I’m into it

Not sure if you are still doing AU asks, but I was curious what you thought about a Scooby Doo AU idea I came up with. I may write a fan fiction about it, I haven’t decided yet. Basically the idea is a really weird take on thirteen ghosts of Scooby doo; the gang are all teens that have grown up in a world where the demon chest was opened many years ago and those spirits rule the world, cause chaos etc.

It would certainly be interesting. Maybe the demon lore is in their won language and they have Velma handwriting copies, trying to torment her with the knowledge right in front of her that she can’t read (not know she had taught herself and they were just handing her info)Flim Flam did seem to have a knack for inventing things that would help, so maybe a weapons master, with some potions studying on the side.

Not sure about Scrappy either.

Hey, I was thinking about the AU idea i shared(I think I shared it with you) about Shaggy finding out he is a warlock at 16 and learning magic from his uncles a la Sabrina the teenage witch. The reason was I was thinking about it was I was considering doing a rewrite of Scooby doo and the alien invaders in which Velma falls in love with a male alien and Scooby doo would still fall in love with Amber. What do you think of this idea and would you check it out if I write it and post it online?

I’d certainly read it, though are we talking about the new Sabrina or the classic?

Phantoms-lair: first, thank you for responding as I was curious to get your thoughts on this :) I was kind of inspired by the curse of the thirteenth ghost movie that recently came out, the Scooby apocalypse comic book and other dystopia fiction and the like to create this AU.

I never got into the Apocalpyse comic, but I will admit it would have been great if Curse had ended with Velma opening the chest to prove ghosts weren't real and starting off a 13 Ghosts reboot

What about a Scooby Doo AU where the gang lives/lived in my home state of Washington? It's kind of a generic AU, but it would be kind of fun to get your thoughts on it :)

(Keep in mind I’ve never been to the west coast, so take this with a grain of salt)1) The gang cut their teeth camping in Olympic National Park. They used to go with their respective families, but started just going with each other when they were in their mid teens.

2) Velma has spent countless hours in Tacoma in it’s various Museums. Daphne is fond of the Museum of Glass

3) Fred’s Dad and dreams of him playing for Washington State, but had to comes to terms with the fact that Fred’s just not interested in Football

4) Shaggy swears up, down, and sideways that Leavenworth is the best place for German food outside Germany.

5) They once took a trip south to Oregon to check out a little town that was supposed to be very haunted. Turned out to be nothing, probably all a scam by the shyster running the so-called ‘Mystery Shack’. Shaggy and Scooby seemed twitch for a few days afterwards for some reason.

Thank you; I actually have in my own AU Scooby canon, this replacing Scooby doo and the goblin king. During the WNSD era Fred competed in a few auto races in which the gang got involved in mysteries, so a remake of a movie where one of the gang gets involved in a car race only seemed natural :) Plus, I never figured Shaggy as much of a race car driver anyway. 

Honestly I think any skills Shaggy would have in race car driving would be an extension of his finely honed *get out of dodge* instincts. So he’d be pretty fair in like the battle car style race from the beginning of Reluctant Werewolf and the giant deathtrap that was the Monster Road Rally, but pretty useless in a normal race

Which reminds me, it’s intetesting how some things Shaggy is good at were given to Fred in recent Scooby movies and shows. Like in the older shows Shaggy’s a good guitar player; then in the stage fright move Fred can play the guitar… um, ok…

Maybe they can both play? I know Shaggy being able to play the guitar came up in Be Cool, so it has been acknowledged relatively recently. Maybe he and Fred learned together?

Phantoms-lair: I’m thinking in this AU that Fred and the girls are transformed while Shaggy and Scooby are elsewhere on the island. I actually thought this up originally as a sequel to zombie island as a fan fiction story, where the gang would have to come back because a college student bought the house and fixed it up to live in.

However, the college student(a female incidentally), starts seeing the ghosts of Lena, Simone and Jacques on the island and calls mystery inc to get to the bottom of things.

Ah. I can only imagine it took a metric ton of Scooby Snacks to get those two back there a second time
