You’re a firefighter that is dating Steve McGarrett, of the task force, you may be known as the power couple but when a fire erupts in the forests you could help the nagging feeling in your stomach, and what was it saying? Steve and his crew were in the midst of it all. A/N : if you ever in a fire please don’t do what I have said, I, in now wat have any idea if this will actually work or if it’s just made up for the story. ‘Fire in the forests, continuously growing, all residents are being evacuated in the surrounding area.’ You hear dover the radio and then stations bell went off. All the firefighters, were up of their seats, at their trucks and ready. Driving down the road they looked out at the smoke cloud that was gathering. ‘It’s bad.’ You heard one say and everyone nodded in agreeance. ‘Hey, Y/N, what’s the chance, McGarrett is involved with this?’ You colleague asked, you smirked and shook your head. ‘Hopefully none.’ You replied, but you were feeling off and you had a high chance that Steve was at the centre of this or he was the probable cause for it.

‘Steve?’ You made your way over to him and took the cloth away from his face, handing him a bottle of water and your oxygen mask, so he could get some air. ‘Of course, you’re in the middle of this.’ You said sighing at him, he looked up, you could see the gleam in his eyes. ‘Where are the others?’ You asked as you reached and got the spare oxygen mask, handing it to him before taking your one back. ‘At a cabin half a mile west.’ He said once the mask was back on. ‘Chief, heading half mile west of current location, got-‘ you looked at him and he held up four fingers. ‘- four more civilians trapped in cabin.’ You told your chief, letting go of the button and listening closely as the heat of the flames heat up the area around you. ‘Copy that, be careful more will be your way soon.’ He said, and you nodded to the Steve who turned around the way he had just come, and you followed. ‘Yes sir.’ You responded to your boss.

As you made it to the cabin you looked around and noticed the fire was closing in quickly, and you could hear the faint sound of those inside coughing. They would die of smoke inhalation before the flames took them. ‘Steve get inside and share that between all of you.’ You told him he hesitated but when a tree fell, and you pushed him out the way he entered. ‘Chief we need the men here, now. We also need water dropped around this area.’ You said into the radio, you heard a crackle and you sighed knowing they wouldn’t be able to hear you. You took of the mask as you entered the cabin closing the door quickly behind you. Taking the mask off, you looked at them, noticing Lou and Danny with wet shirts and a woman, who you didn’t know but she was rocking a busted lip and looked frightened. ‘I thought there were four?’ You said as you only noticed another three people. ‘One escaped.’ Lou said, you did a double take at the chair which was sitting in the middle. ‘You brung a criminal up here?’ You asked, and they didn’t answer, you shook your head when you caught sight of a slimmer of hope, quite literally. ‘Sprinkles.’ You muttered looking up. You then quickly ran out the door, hearing them shout after you, when you returned, closing the door holding flames in your hands Danny raised his arms and dropped ‘She’s as crazy as you Steve, tryna kill us.’ Danny said, you looked at him. ‘Danny shut up and watch.’ You said and held the flames closer to the sprinkler system, within a few seconds the alarm was going off and the water was coming out the sprinkles. ‘They shall keep the area damp and keep the steam down, keep sharing the oxygen.’ You said as you gave them the big on and you took the one you stored for patients. ‘What are you doing?’ You heard Steve ask, you turned back and smiled. ‘Trust me.’ You said before ‘Who was that?’ Tani asked them, they shook their heads. ‘A friend.’ Lou commented, passing the mask to Steve. ‘A crazy ass friend.’ Danny replied as they took turns at the mask. ‘Anyone here?’ They heard a man’s voice asked they then heard footsteps. ‘No Jared, I told you to come up here cause we were already down at the bottom.’ Steve heard you say, they all chuckled. ‘You guys can come out, the fires out.’ You said as you poked your head in the door, the stood-up form lying on the floor and they made their way out.

Once everyone was checked out and you had gotten some shrimp from Kamekona you headed back over to the crowd. ‘You know I love you right?’ He said as he placed a kiss on your smoke ridden forehead. You smiled up at him, rolling your eyes. ‘Yeah, yeah, I know but I have to get back to work.’ You said as you pulled away from him, placing the mask back on and heading back into the flames. ‘She’s your girlfriend?’ Tani asked. ‘Yeah.’ Steve said, glancing at Tani. ‘Damn she’s a badass.’ She commented, Steve nodded. ‘Yeah.’ Steve said as you hoisted a hose over your shoulder and lead a team in.
