After reading this novel I would like to share some of my opinions. It has been told by Scott Cawthon himself that this novel could be viewed as 'An alternative univerise' meaning that the story is linked to the Five Nights at Freddy's themes but not directly. I was actually confused whilst reading the novel. I had not read Scott's message beforehand and I was trying to see how characters fit into roles (Fnaf3 mini games etc...). Thing is, they MAY not be linked. It is important that one does not just assume events in the games will be followed in the novel. We all know Scott's ways of mystery but what I think happened is that he became too mysterious. We know Scott gets carried away (early relates etc) but it is not a bad thing. To put it simply, FNAF was created an indie game and Scott did not think it would get so popular. It seems as if he got slightly carried away. For years us fans have been trying to put the pieces of FNAF together, but what if the devloper created so many pieces they simply will not fit together? There are a lot of questions in the world of FNAF that will not be answered, not because we are not looking hard enough, but simply because the answers to those unanswered questions do not fit into the larger puzzle of well... jumble? The locked box that appears at the very end of FNAF4 I believe, will never be unlocked. What could it possibly contain? It contains the answers to our questions but that's the thing... they must not be answered. But that is the beauty of the world of FNAF us fans get to make up our own stories, our own theories. Scott allows us to be creative with his work and allows us to try to fit the pieces together. What other game developer is awesome enough to allow us to search teasers by brightening images to reveal sceret images and hidden text? I believe Scott wants us to think for ourselves. He has given us the information which allows us to create our own stories. It may have already been said, but Scott Cawthon is among one of the finest game developers out there.
