Seeing Alex Norton turn up in Good Omens 2 (and criminally underused) has made me reflect on his heroic turn in the classic Bill Douglas film Comrades (1986) in which he played FOURTEEN characters. Norton's characters mostly trace the early development of pre-cinema and are also a stand-in for the director himself. I've been in awe of Norton since seeing this film. Here's a taster.
