Underworld for #moviemonday Confession: I watched this possibly hundreds of times when I was a teenager for several reasons, most of which included Kate Beckinsale and Scott Speedman. I wanted vampires and werewolves, and this was my Twilight equivalent (though I did read/watch Twilight), so the nostalgia / LGBT+ awakening factors into this review even years later. That being said, rewatching as an adult, I really didn't see any of the emotional ties between Selene and Michael that I remembered from earlier. Most of the emotions were "omg I have to stop this idiot from dying" and "omg I have to get away from these monsters/people" which were both valid responses, really. I'm also exceptionally pleased I knew Michael Sheen as Lucius before I knew him as Aziraphale in Good Omens, mostly for the flex 😂 I love both characters, obviously. It's fun and ridiculous and that's why I ended up watching nearly everything that both Scott and Kate acted in 😅🤷 8/10 for nostalgia and I'll rewatch. (The rest of the series' ratings are very different, but that's another post for another day!) #moviereview #underworld #katebeckinsale #scottspeedman https://www.instagram.com/p/CdUPen5vM-1/?igshid=NGJjMDIxMWI=
