Aitana Bonmatí, the greatest exponent of Barcelona
Touch, vision and a lot of class. Few better words to define Aitana Bonmatí, a total midfielder in line with the idea of a unique club like FC Barcelona. Football values rooted in a very strong philosophy have allowed she to stand out in an ideal environment for its growth . All this linked to a youth that has superimposed with patience to become one of the most outstanding on the national and international scene.
Trajectory
She is the only footballer who has been able to reach the Barcelona first team since the youth academy in recent years. Like so many others, her career in the world of football began at school. At the age of 13, she arrived at La Masía, where she began training with girls - to date it had not been like that. Her rapid progression led it, in 2013, to be considered revelation of the year. Three seasons later, in 2016, she debuted in the First Division after leading the subsidiary to the league title.
A growth that would take her in 2017 to receive her first call to go summoned with the absolute one of Spain and to debut in the qualifying phase match against Austria in Son Moix. However, she had previously been the European Under-17, U-19 champion, twice runner-up and U-17 world runner-up.
Technical skills

Physical skills
Intelligence is imposed on the physical. Her 161 centimeters and 51 kilos play in her favor. Being a small and light footballer allows you to exploit attributes such as speed. There, the Catalan woman wins many situations that other larger colleagues cannot solve. She does not have the ability to win a close combat or aerial balls, but her head and anticipation allow her to go two steps ahead of her opponent. Of course, she has a powerful lower trunk, which allows you to lower the center of gravity to avoid destabilizing when you are hit by driving. She is also one of the best at protecting the ball from behind. Aitana is the perfect complement to more physical pieces like Kheira Hamraoui or Patri Guijarro.
Tactical features
FC Barcelona is characterized by the immobility of the tactical system. Since taking over the team, Lluís Cortés has opted for 1-4-3-3. What makes the Catalans different is the mobility of the attack pieces during the encounter. In this scheme, Aitana Bonmatí occupies the position of interior, although depending on the needs of the staff, she can also occupy the extreme -both right and left-. The freedom that his coach gives her to move makes her go down to receive to start play (few times), maintain position and break lines with deep passes or rise to appear from the second line (very frequent). When she leaves the band she loses her ability to act, although the diagonals she draws towards the center are very dangerous for any rival.
With Spain the situation changes, not in a radical way, but enough so that another facet of the footballer can be seen. Jorge Vilda does not maintain the 1-4-3-3 as Lluís Cortés, but rather tries to look for variations depending on the team in front of him. Thus on some occasion he has used a 1-4-2-3-1 with Aitana in the playmaker. There the Catalan offers correct performance, but with the rigidity of the system and having very mobile parts, such as Jenni, ahead, it seems that they harm her.
Evolution
Aitana Bonmatí is a different footballer from the rest . In all the categories she has stood out and on her arrival to the first team of FC Barcelona it would not be otherwise. It has been difficult for her to find a gap between such high-quality footballers being from the youth academy, but the first step has been taken. For future seasons she has the task of obtaining ownership , which is not easy if we take into account the additions made by the club every summer. But when it comes down to it, they rely heavily on national talent. By progression, expectations and game, the Catalan is called to be the owner of the midfield of Barcelona for many years. You just need patience and maintain the level you are showing. The rest will come alone.
2016 NFL SCOUTING NOTES: SPENCER DRANGO, LT, BAYLOR

Tonight we begin the offensive tackle portion of scouting notes. The tackle position is one of the most important on any NFL team, and they are always in high demand during the Draft. Our first player is Spencer Drango out of Baylor, here are my notes:

The Positives
1) Drango uses his hands very well at the point of attack
2) Uses good footwork to get in proper position to make the block
3) Physical player, a bit of a “mauler”
The Negatives
1) Drango sometimes struggles against speed rushers
2) He may be better suited as a Guard in the NFL
3) Had back surgery midway through sophomore year (NFL will do thorough medical history check)
4) Not a highly “athletic tackle”
Spencer Drango is one of the top college tackles at this point. He uses good footwork to get in position to make the block, and uses his hands very well at the point of attack. He can struggle against speed rushers, but uses his strength and power well to block against bull rushers and against the run game. He did have back surgery for a ruptured disk halfway through his sophomore season, but has successfully returned for a full junior season. His draft stock will greatly depend on a mixture of how well he plays this season, and how well he tests in the offseason draft process. If teams see him as a fit at OT, he could be a high pick, if they see him more as an OG, then he will be more of a mid round pick

2016 NFL Scouting Notes: Tyriq McCord, DE, University of Miami

First let me wish everyone a happy 4th of July, please party responsibly. Now continuing with the Defensive End position, today we look at a guy considered to be a “tweener”. While that at times can hurt the draft stock of players, this one has some abilities and tools that may turn some NFL heads. Tonight we look at Tyriq McCord out of Miami, here are my notes:
Tyriq McCord. 6’3. 236 lbs. DE. Miami

The Positives
1) McCord is a very good athlete for his size
2) Has the ability to play with his hand in the dirt or standing up
3) Can cover TE’s and some WR’s
4) Good speed rush
5) Uses hands well, good swim move
The Negatives
1) Doesn’t play with much power, and thus is not a big part of running downs.
2) A “Tweener”,which means no definite position suits him best…part DE and part LB
While McCord may be a Tweener, and he may not be great on running downs, he does have many qualities that teams are looking for. He has exceptional speed coming off the edge, and that speed also allows him to be used to cover TE’s and WR’s. He is used all over the field, plays with a one hand stance, or free standing. He uses his hands very well to ward off blockers, including a good swim move. In a league where the pass rush is a premium, if McCord has another year like last year, or even better, some NFL teams will be very tempted to draft him. If he lands in the right system that utilizes his strengths, he could have a productive career.
Tonight we continue the Running Back segment of scouting notes. These notes are based off from last year’s film, and will precede the full scouting report which will come after I view film from the upcoming season. Tonight we take a look at Devontae Booker out of Utah. Here are my notes:

The Positives
1) Runs hard and Physical
2) Has the ability to break tackles
3) Has a good stiff arm
4) Has good receiving ability
5) Runs with good balance
6) Good speed
The Negatives
1) While his pass blocking is ok, it will have to improve.
2) Occasionally fumbles
Devontae Booker is one of my favorite prospects at this early point. He is a “one cut” style runner, who runs hard and physical but contains good enough speed to break a big play. He possesses the ability to catch the ball in the backfield, and he covers the ball up well but does have the occasional fumble. He transferred from a community college to The University of Utah in 2014.
