He hadn’t seen the knife coming, which was stupid of him. Alex never misjudged anyone. But he had in this instance severely underestimated his opponent. And so he found himself in his office on the ship, sat on his desk trying his best to sew up the gash across his side. It was going to scar nicely, especially as it was in an awkward place for him to reach. A soft knock sounded at the door and Alex grunted a “come in”. The door swung open and Scout padded in softly. He swore that the girl could probably levitate, it hardly looked like her feet ever touched the ground. “Lend me your hand first with this, kid. Then we’ll talk.”
