Nubi, the thing we captured yesterday, doesn't seem to need to sleep. We set up cameras around the test chamber and it doesn’t seem to ever settle. We did capture something odd on the cameras though…
When it’s not being monitored by a human, it paces around the chamber. Similar to the way a caged animal in a zoo behaves. Zoochosis I believe is the term. It paces and scratches at the walls when observed by cameras, but when one of our techs sits there and observes it. Like it’s aware that we’re recording every bit of information about it when we’re standing there.
Our supervisor is wondering if we should try to make contact with it. I don’t think it’s a good idea to try and speak with something when we aren’t aware of how dangerous this thing could be. It presents docile, but how do we really know for sure when it behaves differently when we aren’t around.
If we do make contact though we’re gonna have to convince one of our unpaid interns into doing the job for us. We can’t sacrifice one of us to see if this thing is actually as docile as it appears.
Terrifying to think about what this thing may be capable of doing to a human being, if allowed that is. We’ll continue to monitor.
