So.. this week was 3 for 5, bringing a lunch.. the other two days I skipped it due to the heat. Too hot to eat sometimes. Also, there was alot of ham and cheese this week as I tried the app @loblawson FoodFlash, and got almost a pound of the free from ham for 8$.. great deal, but you have to consume it fast. 8 day Lunch/dinner meal prep. Lentil curry stew with Hawaiian sweet potatoes, okra and parsnips with homemade sauerkraut and fennel to add a little tangy to the sweet and savory. All these ingredients (besides the lentil & spices) were gotten from @baltimorefreefarm , @brownandhealthy free produce both at @dovecotecafe. Times have been rough for me and it's so great that orgs like these provide healthy foods for free. Tanny loved dinner so much yesterday he demanded I add to the pot!!! So I have… and it’s bluddy lush!!! . . A couple more tins of tomatoes, 1 bottle of passata extra herbs, spices and stock and some broken up spaghetti and there it is, enough from that one pot to feed both Tanny and I for another 3-4 days… . . Cost of the whole thing … less than £6 including electric. I figure that’s not bad for a from scratch recipe. . . Video is out tomorrow!!!
