Sam really needed to hear that, and the way Tara didn't hesitate one second to tell her that. She hasn't seen her for 5 years, but she still knows that her sammy would never do anything to hurt her, and indeed, she didn't even think about the possibility of her sister leaving because she wanted to protect her from herself.

Since Sam found out the truth about Billy, Tara was probably the first person that made sure Sam knew that she was not a MONSTER. And in the scene before this, Tara says "i could've helped you", she would've really left everything and everyone if that meant staying with sam.

And also, Tara didn't blame sam once for all of that happened, she didn't blame her for mr carpenter leaving, she didn't blame her for this all ghostface mess, and she didn't blame her for being billy's daughter. She only blamed her for leaving her too, but even then, she understood sam.

Well, fuck me, I think I can do that! Let's run down the list.

Billy Loomis: "Sure it is, Sid. It's all a movie. It's all one great big movie. Only you can't pick your genre." Something about this, just fucking hits, right in the chest, the way he says it, the look on his face, I do not know, I love it.

Stu Macher: ''You take a knife and you slit 'em from groin to sternum.'' Seriously another one that I just adore, it is so telling to his character, I think about it often.

And a specfic one as Ghostface from the first Scream that hits is, "Scary night isn't it? With the murders and all. It's like right out of a horror movie or something." A little more unconventional but it is during the first call Sidney ever gets from Ghostface, so it only feels right to pick it man.

Mickey Altieri: "You should really deal with your trust issues Sid: I mean, poor Derek. He's completely innocent and such a nice boy too. He's bright and funny and handsome. Decent singing voice. And he was going to be a doctor. This is just the kinda boy you'd like to take home to mom. If you had a mom." So fucked up but the delivery of it man just gets me and gets me hard, also life imitating art, imitating life is up there.

Nancy Loomis/Debbie Salt: "Not wise to patronize me with a gun, Sidney. Randy spoke poorly of Billy, and I got a little knife happy." Again while I don't like Nancy a lot, the delivery was a serve.

Scream 2 Ghostface: "Have you ever felt a knife cut through human flesh... and scrape the bone beneath?" Noooo I have not but fuck me, do I want to!

Roman Bridger: "Variety called me a "pariah". I don't even know what a "pariah" is." Honestly very fucking funny line and delivery, I can give it up for that, second place is, "I'm about to turn 30, and it looks like I might be the next target". I, too, am about to turn 30 and would like to be the next victim, please.

Scream 3 Ghostface: "She's got a nice little... voice." The way it is said is like, okay! I see you!

Charlie Walker: "Shhh... It doesn't happen as fast as it does in the movies, I know." Yeah this was the moment I was like okay, okay, I get it. He's got something about him.

Jill Roberts: "You just won't die, will you? Who are you, Michael fucking Myers?" If I have to pick one from her, it's this one.

Scream 4 Ghostface: "I'm gonna slit your eyelids in half so you don't blink when I stab you in the face." Like it would be any other one man, come the fuck on.

Amber Freeman: "Welcome to act three." Again, the delivery, the cunt in it, yes. Also, "Yeah, and he died like a pussy!"

Richie Kirsch: "Oh, thank god, you're still alive. Because I really wanted to be the one to kill you". Again, low tier Ghostface but a good line with solid delivery.

Scream 5 Ghostface: "It's an honour." Like it'd be anything else COME ON.

Jason Carvey: "Alright, fine. It was even better than we could have imagined. And when the knife, went in her, it's like… she wasn't a human anymore. Just an animal. And everytime when I went in, she was less… Less human… And then? She was… just meat." Hot, so, so hot.

Ethan Landry: "I've always wanted to stick something in you, Tara!" Obviously it has to be this one, fuck.

Quinn Bailey: "I got Stu Macher's mask. He was my favorite." Bitch same!

Wayne Bailey: "All the best lies are based from the hard truth." Dude fucking sucks and ACAB always but I mean this hits.

Scream 6 Ghostface: "Who gives a fuck about movies?" I mean I do, way too much, but good shit man!

Okay and these are my picks, hope it is detailed enough man.

The first scene that we got of them together is such an important one, and i don't think people have quite understood how meaningful it was to understand their characters and their relationship better.

We know that they haven't seen each other (as far as we know, they haven't even talked or texted) for 5 whole years, but despite that, Tara doesn't seem upset or angry at Sam. She looks hopeful and even happy.

And then, not even a few minutes after Sam and Tara reunited, she feels comfortable enough to open up to Sam and cry in front of her (i see this as a big deal because i'm the type of person that hates crying in front of people).

And, Sam is very "touchy" with Tara from the first moment she stepped a foot inside her hospital room, to some it might not be that deep, but to me it meant everything. Not having contact with someone for 5 years can definitely damage your relationship with them, especially considering how young Tara was when Sam left.

This means that they had a really, REALLY close relationship, so just imagine how badly it has affected both of them to not be able to see each other for 5 years.

I was going through some of jenna and melissa's interviews for scream vi and melissa said something that i liked so much:

"it's such a beautiful reversal of roles, both sisters trying to protect each other and full acceptance by the end, which is kind of creepy but also amazing that they just are in it together"

Yes!

Your little sister just being okay with you stabbing someone 40+ times, and then also, with you killing them is so not okay.

But it's beautiful.

Sam DOES enjoy this -murderous- side of her, but is there anybody else that could understand her?

And there comes tara.

That small head tilt meant everything to sam.

When she looked at tara, she thought she was going to be met with disgust, fear, and disappointment, but instead, all she saw was acceptance.

Sam should be worried shouldn't she?

This is not okay. Tara should be angry. Tara should be afraid of her.

But then tara says that they were going to get through this together, and for once, sam doesn't feel so misunderstood anymore.

There are a lot of scream vii theories of it being christmas themed and... whose birthday is in December?

TARA!!! and you know what that means? More truma for her. yippie.

It's December 14th.

The movie starts with a party, Tara's birthday party. She hasn't actually celebrated it since sam left, but now she's back, and she's so happy, so what could possibly go wrong?

Yeah, everything goes in the most possible wrong way.

Someone dies at the party. They get murdered at the party .

And on the wall, there's a sign written with the victim's blood that says "happy birthday tara." Needless to say, Tara did not have a happy birthday.

The killings stops.

Ghostface doesn't show up again until a day before Christmas Eve.

What if in scream 7 tara doesn't even try anymore, like- maybe the killings happen again, ghostface is trying to kill them again and she knows it will be someone they know, someone she cares about and it will end up always the same way. With them getting killed. Other people she will lose again.

She knows the script already.

But this time, tara is just tired. Tired of fighting back, tired of running away, tired of having to see her friends getting hurt or worse killed, just tired of being a final girl.

And tired of being a burden, for her sister specifically. She can see it, sam is tired too, and tara is only adding more stress to her life.

Maybe it was better for everyone if she just died that night. This isn't her life. Not anymore.

I remember someone said that it would've been cool if Amber had a body cam when she attacked Tara, and instead of showing richie's home-made movies at the shrine, they could've showed the REAL movie he was making. It would've been so much more intense because Sam (obviously) wasn't there when she was attacked. So imagine how much it would have messed with her head and her emotional state. And maybe Tara could've also seen herself getting attacked. Also, i really think they should consider doing that in the next movies because imagine if everybody could be able to see these videos, they could really do something interesting with them and it would be even more stressful and fucked up.

Imagine if tara becomes the paranoid sister who doesn't want sam to get out of her sight, and instead, sam is slowly letting her guard down because she doesn't really think anyone else could possibly want to kill them, and also because she understood that tara can definitely take care of herself.

But then something happens, and tara gets attacked again, and sam feels even more guilty because she was only giving tara some space to not pressure her or become overbearing just like last time.
